Award-Winning Words

  • The George D. Murphy Award in Creative Writing honors a longtime faculty member in the Villanova English department.

    My experimental long-form poem, “I dream of the bustling airport”, was a standout among the collection I submitted. An excerpt was read aloud during the 2022 English Honor Society Inductee Ceremony.

  • My essay, entitled ‘Unrealistic Expectations: Miltonic Marriage and the Fall’, won Villanova University’s 2021 Jerome J. Fischer Memorial Award. Centered on the power dynamics between Adam and Eve in John Milton’s epic, Paradise Lost, it explores when the Fall of humanity becomes inevitable, through an interpersonal lens.

    This recognition is given annually to the most distinguished undergraduate essay written in a Villanova English course.

My CV

I’m a creative with a unique educational background, that marries the technical and the artistic. A 2022 graduate of Villanova University, I studied in English, Peace & Justice, Humanities, and Astrophysics. My excellent written and verbal communication skills make me a desirable asset to any team, especially as a lifelong, passionate writer looking to expand my craft!

I first emerged into the creative space in 2016, when I began accepting creative photoshoot requests from friends, family, and local businesses. Throughout high school and college, I continued honing my photography and videography skills by filming & editing event videos, taking personal and professional headshots, graduation photos, engagements, candid event photography, and visual direction for creative projects.

In 2019, I began my art business from a shed in my backyard. My childhood "Clubhouse" (a term that originated from the lack of weight-bearing trees on which to build a treehouse), soon became a refurbished, mini art studio and home to The Lil Clubhouse. I create commission-based, handmade artwork for clients across the world. In addition to traditional painting and sketching, some of my most requested works were refurbished thrifted items with a hand-painted flair.
